Puppy Obedience Training

First Rule: You (the owner) must accept that a puppy is just like a baby. They are a young and innocent living animal that just like a baby must be cared for and raised in the correct ways.

So it should come as no surprise to learn that Puppy Obedience Training should commence as soon as possible and that being a responsible dog owner means that providing your dog with obedience training will provide life-long enjoyment of your companion.

The two main Puppy Obedience Training methods include:

  • Professional dog training classes
  • Home taught

The advantages of Professional dog training classes are that you will be using tried and tested methods which will most likely ensure that your dog is trained more quicker and ‘easier’. Keep in mind however, just like us humans learning never stops – so don’t stop teaching and also learning yourself once the classes finish.

The second method of Puppy Obedience Training is that of home taught. Of course not all of us have experience in training puppies. It is advisable to get some Dog Training Advice. The Internet is a wealth of knowledge, however to have the best of both world look at getting some professional advice that you can implement at home.

One of the best home training programs that I have seen to date is from Daniel Stevens. His reputable training guide is one of the most successful – it also comes with a money back guarantee which is another important factor.

If you do choose to do Puppy Obedience Training at home, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Start early – The first 6 months should be a playful and learning time. use basic commands to get your puppy use to your voice and tone when commands are spoken.
  • Start Puppy Obedience Training – From 6 to 9 months you should ensure that you puppy is now well underway with the training.
  • Well and Truly into Puppy Obedience Training – From 9 to 12 months your puppy should be well on its way in the training program so make sure that you are now using advanced commands.

Ultimately it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that Puppy Obedience Training is conducted. The benefits of a life-long connection to your puppy, a happy owner (and family) and in turn a much happier dog just makes sense.

Dog Agility Training

Dog Agility Training

Simply put Dog Agility Training is the training that a dog undergoes in preparation for Dog Agility competition events. Dog Agility Training allows a dog to compete in a form of competition in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy.

The first steps for an owner interested in such activities is to get some good Dog Training Advice. From there is a whole lot more dog training as in such Dog Agility events dogs run off-leash with no food or toys as incentives. This takes a lot of discipline and commitment to get to such a stage.

In Dog Agility events the handler cannot touch the dog or any obstacles on the course. The handler must rely solely on voice, movement and body signals to direct the dog. This is why many owners ensure that Dog Agility Training is commenced when the dog is still considered a puppy. From basic commands and movements the dog’s training is elevated to standard Obedience Training and then finally the final step of Dog Agility Training.

Below is a video of the Purina Dog Incredible Dog Agility Challenge – this is pretty amazing stuff and you can really tell that both dog and owner really get into it.

Ultimately Dog Agility Training is great for health reasons for your dog (and the owner) with all the running, jumping and stretching. But the second great benefit of such dog training is that it can also have the affect of bringing a higher level of relationship between the dog and the owner.

Dog Training Advice

Published by dogwhisperer under Dog Training and tagged: ,

Just like human beings Dogs have a vast range of differing personalities. Unfortunately humans and dogs are unable to communicate (unlike Doctor Doolittle) in a easy to understand language.

Many Dog owners attempt to try and train their dogs with any Dog Training Advice which can many times be a waste of time and lead to even more frustration for you and the dog.

Many owners forget that Dogs are very proud and all breeds carry that ‘pack mentality’. They will challenge you!

But just remember that they are programmed that way. However, just because its in their blood does not mean that you need to put up with bad behavior.

One of the best resources that I have found for Dog Training Advice is that of Secrets To Dog Training. Daniel Stevens is a respected Dog Trainer whose Secrets To Dog Training has help owners of every breed of Dog to have the kind of pet that many people only dream of.

Does your Dog:

  • Never come to you when you call
  • Fight with other dog’s
  • Attack’s family or friends
  • Constant barking
  • Leeds you when you take it for a walk

If your sitting there and nodding your head, then trust me this is one of the best training guides that I have seen.

Out of the many reasons to believe in this Dog Training Advice, I will offer you two reasons why I consider the Secrets To Dog Training the best of the best:

  • Your dog should be treated as a member of the family. In order to have your dog be a member of the family you need to ensure that you provide all the training that you can just as you would for your children.
  • You will build a life long relationship more closer to your dog than you would ever imagine a human and a animal could – this really gives meaning to the statement “a man’s best friend“.

P.S. I am not just selling a product here. I am promoting a package that I have also purchased and definitely believe that it will help you. If you have been sitting on the Internet searching for the best Dog Training Advice – then you have found it.
